"Raman" glass shade with rich expressions
This shade, named "Raman" after the silhouette that changes when light hits it and the "Raman effect" (the phenomenon in which the light that enters a material looks different from the light that leaves it), is so beautiful you can't help but stare at it.
Because we don't set strict sizes, the shades created by each craftsman at any given time have a variety of expressions. From round circles to ovals that flow downward, each shade is unique and you will grow to love them. The glass is intentionally made uneven, so you can see different expressions during the day and when the light is turned on after dark, which is also an attractive feature. We recommend hanging several shades in your bathroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining room, or shop counter for fun.

remarks
- We cannot accept requests for specific sizes, etc. Please be aware of this before purchasing.
- Since each piece is handmade, there may be individual differences in size and shape.
- Please note that due to the unique nature of hand-blown glass, the shape of the product may differ from that shown in the image.
- During the production process, cuts are made with a knife to create unevenness, so vertical lines may appear, as shown in the circle in the product image.
- There may be a crack-like pattern on the top of the shade that occurs when the glass is separated, but this is a manufacturing process and is considered to be within the range of acceptable quality.
- This product is manufactured to match the lighting fixtures we carry in our store, so it may not fit your lighting fixture. We recommend purchasing it together with optional lighting fixtures.

ABOUT fresco

Fresco is a glass studio that produces colorful vessels and glasses using blown glass. Each piece is individually handcrafted, and the studio values its individuality. It is not just glassware that gives off a cool feeling, but is constantly striving to create glass that can be used in a variety of situations.

Of course, each glass shade is hand-blown and made by hand. Since no two shades are exactly the same, each one is truly one of a kind. If you use it with that in mind, you will grow to love it.

PARTS & SUPPLY and fresco are both based in Izumi city. They wanted to work together and developed their original glass shades, "kasumi plate" and "kasumi bowl." They started out by creating the shades after much trial and error, based on plates and cups, which were originally popular products at fresco.
