■Brand
bubble lamp
The Bubble Lamp, which is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York, was designed by George Nelson in 1952. The distinctive feature of the Bubble Lamp is the beauty of the fantastic light it emits from its simple yet unique form, but the shade that produces the light is made by hand by craftsmen using the same process as when production first began, spraying a special plastic onto a thin steel frame. The Bubble Lamp brought George Nelson his greatest international success, and its reputation continues to this day.
